The fee for reading, evaluating and preparing a detailed report on your manuscript is £95 ($170 USD). That is for up to 15,000 words, the recommended minimum for a thorough critique of your work.

For each additional thousand words please add £2.95 ($5.25 USD). For manuscripts over 75,000 words a special price can be offered and a written quotation supplied. There are no other charges; return post and packing are free.

Our report includes an overall critique of the story-line and characters. Flaws in logic and persistent weaknesses in grammar, punctuation, layout and spelling will be brought to your notice. Every page will receive the same meticulous line by line attention.

The report will be thorough and constructive. If praise is warranted, it will be given. You will certainly receive encouragement but the critique will be very honest and pull no punches.

A summary of the submissions chances in the market-place will be provided, with guidance on how you might be best advised to submit your book.

It is impossible without viewing a manuscript to estimate the number of pages that will comprise our report but it has never been less than twenty and in an extreme case for a 130,000 word manuscript totaled 52 pages!

Your submission must be in hard copy. If you wish, for no extra charge, you can receive comment on your synopsis and the letter you intend accompanying your work to editors or agents. Any general questions you may have on aspects of the publishing business will be answered but comments on specific agents or publishers are not possible.

The safe arrival of your material will be acknowledged the same day and a firm date given for its return. That is always within three weeks.
